I’m Pete Faint. I’m a pianist, a musical director, a producer, an arranger, a composer, a company director, a teacher, a studio engineer, a blogger, a husband, a miserablist. Here’s my biog:

Pete Faint is a keyboard player, musical director and vocal coach, based in Manchester. He studied at Lancaster University, gaining BMus (Hons) and MPhil degrees in music, before embarking on a career as a musician. He has worked consistently for almost twenty years in a variety of settings, and as well as performing he runs his own production company and recording studio which has produced a number of one nighter theatre shows and dozens of albums in a variety of genres. He was also company director and musical supervisor for Veritas Entertainment Ltd. for a number of years.

Hi, I am just revamping my privately printed book on my great uncle, Charlie Drew and the Merrie Men (completed 15 years ago) and hope to publish it on Kindle.I can confirm that “Jack Hilton, the boy vocalist” did appear with the Men in August 1905. Presumably his father also used the name Jack as a Jack Hylton appeared as a comedian and dancer with the Adeler & Sutton Troupe certainly between 1904 and 1907. He took over management of the troupe from Mr. Kay Draco in 1905. But you may already know this. Regards and good luck with the book. Malcolm Drew. P.S. Website defunct!
